Chris Barrick is a vibraphonist, drummer, and recent (re)-arrival to the Washington, DC area from Cincinnati, OH. Since moving back to the area, Chris has become an active member of the DC jazz scene, having performed at the Kennedy Center, Strathmore, Blues Alley, Bohemian Caverns, and Twins Jazz Club. Chris has performed and recorded with many great musicians in Cincinnati and DC, including Brad Myers, whose 2015 recording Prime Numbers earned a four star review in Downbeat Magazine, Mike Sharfe, Rusty Burge, John Von Ohlen, Steve Schmidt, Allyn Johnson, Brad Linde, Nate Hook, Herbert Scott, Elijah Jamal Balbed, Ethan Philion and Abinnet Berhanu. In addition to pursuits in jazz, Chris has performed as a percussionist with the National Symphony Orchestra, National Philharmonic, Lexington Philharmonic, Cincinnati Vocal Arts Ensemble, and the Cincinnati Ballet New Works Series, as well theater productions with Shakespeare Theatre Company and Signature Theater.
