Did you know that walnuts are one of the most nutritious of all nuts? A lot of research has been done on this subject, but in brief:
✔︎ Walnuts are an excellent source of healthy fats, including monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats. They also contain iron, calcium, zinc, vitamin E and even some B vitamins.
✔︎ Walnuts contain more antioxidants than most other nuts, which can help fight oxidative damage in your body.
✔︎ Walnuts are a source of a plant-based form of omega-3 fats that can help reduce your risk of heart disease.
✔︎ Walnuts can improve your gut function, which in turn can affect your overall health and improve digestion. Walnuts also support brain function as you age.
